Semester Closing Ceremony
Cornelia Goethe Center and
GRADE Gender on 12.02.

We want to conclude this semester with a special event and cordially invite you to the joined semester closing ceremony of the CGC and the GRADE Center Gender on February 12, at 6 pm in the PEG on Campus Westend in Room 1.G191.

 

Snacks and drinks will be provided and you will be able to meet professors associated with the CGC as well as students, researchers and members of the centers. Members of the centers will present their current projects or upcoming events.

This presentation draws on a participatory arts-based research project with migrant women and girls, reflecting on the ways in which research can be  an act of citizenship that challenges racist exclusions. It argues that by working together with migrant mothers and young girls, as well as organisations that focus on the rights of migrant and Black and Minority Ethnic people,  research can co-produce knowledge that challenges social exclusion and racist and sexist subjugation of migrant girls…
