Amina Mama starts Guest Professorship at the Goethe University

We would like to kindly invite you to the public lectures of the Angela Davis Guest Professor for International Gender and Diversity Studies 2018, Professor Amina Mama. The globally well-known academic is an expert for African Feminisms.

The scientist, author and activist Amina Mama will talk about theory and practice of African feminisms. The lectures deal with the different manifestations of feminism as results of a range of historic and social conditions in the countries of Africa. Amina Mama focuses on the interdependencies between militarism and the different forms of sexual violence and oppression.
