Cornelia Goethe Centrum

Get-Together Workshop with Helma Lutz & Marianne Schmidbaur –
June 05

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, June 05 between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm in room 3.105 in the seminar building on Campus Westend

In the winter semester 2016/2017, GRADE Center GENDER was established as part of Goethe University’s Graduate Academy. The objective of the interdisciplinary center is to support the qualification projects of advanced master students, PhDs and postdoc candidates in the field of gender studies and offer opportunities for networking. Workshops, lectures and fireside chats with internationally renowned scholars on methods and current issues of gender studies are a central feature of GRADE Gender and we have been able to bring in outstanding researchers to the Goethe University in this context.
Starting from this year, GRADE Center GENDER members are also being supported with travel grants for the presentation of scientific lectures and the organization of and participation in retreats that advance their own qualification projects.  With this networking workshop we would like to bring together scientists with qualification projects in gender studies in order to offer them the opportunity to exchange ideas, to develop forms of mutual support and to participate in the programming of GRADE Center GENDER. In addition, this workshop will evaluate the GRADE Gender program: What was/is supportive and helpful? How can the program be further developed?

We cordially invite you to present your project to a group of interested scientists and to explore possibilities for further development of the GRADE Center GENDER program with Prof. Helma Lutz and Dr. Marianne Schmidbaur, who are responsible for the program.

The workshop  will be held in English and German.
