Sophie Bauer, recipient of the Cornelia Goethe Award 2025, will present her book “'Das Natürlichste, was eine Frau haben kann‘ – Eine Soziologie der Menstrualität" (Campus, 2025). This will be followed by a panel discussion on the question of scientific positionality and the challenges of feminist science communication.

Sophie Bauer earned her doctorate at the Institute of Sociology at Goethe University Frankfurt and has worked as a research associate. She was a doctoral scholarship holder of the Hans Böckler Foundation and an educational officer at a women's center in Frankfurt. In addition to research and teaching, she works freelance as an author and speaker and is involved in networks such as “prina - Politics of Reproduction.” In 2025, she curated the interdisciplinary festival “Reproductive Futures. Feminist Visions for Just Care.”
