With approximately 32,000 media items by and about 2,200 female composers and conductors, the Archive for Women and Music is the world’s largest and most significant archive of its kind. The collection includes sheet music, sound recordings, literature, and gray literature on female composers, female musicians, and female conductors from the 9th to the 21st century in the fields of classical music as well as rock, pop, and jazz. A key focus is on original scores and letters from the 18th to the 21st century, as well as the estates of female composers.
